The warm-season grasses for this 1/3 acre meadow were drill-seeded in December 2014. In April we hand-seeded the native wildflower mix over the grasses.

 

A path is mowed through different areas of the meadow each year for changing interest. Because this meadow was installed in a suburban neighborhood, we keep a 6' wide mow strip along the road so that passersby don't feel overwhelmed with height of these plants. In fact, this meadow is a beautiful asset to the entire neighborhood.
